American Web Services deploys video portal to promote updated long term care program
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Aug. 23, 2006 – American Web Services, Inc., a developer of Internet business solutions, has created and is hosting an Internet video portal for CalPERS. The new website promotes the latest long term care insurance for CalPERS members and features streaming video presentation by Jennifer Whitney, a local television personality.
"American Web Services has many exciting ideas to pursue," said Becky Thomas, Project Manager for CalPERS Long Term Care Group. "We welcomed the opportunity to bring a much more innovative approach to the program." In addition to providing real-time video webinars, every member was provided with a unique website address that would customize the presentation for them.
Danny Lopez, IT Director for the California Farm Bureau Federation, joined American Web Services to manage this project. "With more than a million members having access to this portal, we wanted to bring on someone experienced with larger membership organizations," said Ed Williams, Chief Technology Officer of American Web Services.
American Web Services has successfully developed and deployed Internet applications for a number of associations and organizations, including the State Building and Construction Trades Council, California Optometric Association, and California Congress of Seniors.
